Hello everybody
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I've been rather busy first getting Visions together, the PRC, and now the show I was accepted into in Newburyport.  Newburyport Art Association is having the opening for their 14th Regional Juried Exhibition this Saturday.  Two pieces of mine were selected along with other artists and artistic mediums.  The opening reception will begin at 7pm, Saturday May 7th.  And of course, along with all of this, still finding other calls for entry and various competitions to submit my work to!

There has also been some recent press surrounding the PRC's Student Exhibition.  Fitchburg area publications have been reporting FSU's involvement in the regional showing of student work.  Here's a newspaper clipping of the Fitchburg Sentinel & Enterprise paper and a link to the Examiner article.  Enjoy!

I've been wanting to shoot more portraits lately, but in combination with the surf community that I've been so involved with the past year.  My good friend, Kevin Tanner, behind Soudnings Surf Co creates some gorgeous handcrafted boards.  He does all his own shaping, resin work, and glassing, and I wanted to photograph some beautiful boards to highlight his craftsmanship as well as portraits of my friends who ride them.  I decided to do board portraits.

Some days I just don't feel like swimming.  Some days I don't feel like shooting with a 7lb telephoto setup on the beach.  Those days are perfectly suited for drone shots, should the wind be accommodating enough.

I've only had a couple drone flights this winter, one during a sunny but cold morning at the beach, and a second during a slightly windier day at Point Judith lighthouse. It's always a refreshing perspective!
