Surf Trip // Nova Scotia

I had just gotten back from two weeks in Ireland.  It was late October and Halloween was just around the corner.  I had barely been home a full week when I got the call from Scott Hayward up in Portland, the forecast was shaping up again.  It might be worth it to do a strike mission up north, destination:  Nova Scotia.  We had been planning our first Canadian adventure back in the spring, but real life had gotten in the way and we had to delay our plans as summer rolled around.  Now that we were back into hurricane / winter storm season, it was shaping up nicely and on a Friday afternoon we decided to pull the trigger.  Canada, here we...

Aerial Abstracts

I've had a new project lately, bringing motion blurs and slow shutter work to the air with my drone photography.  All it took was a few darker Neutral Density filters and I'm already thrilled my first few flights of this experimentation! We played with reflections in the water, shapes with the poses, and I was absolutely captivated by the brilliant and strong morning...

The forecast was only for 3-4 ft, but after swimming out at Matunuck bright and early I checked the buoy report and it was still 6 ft at 9 seconds! Definitely bigger...

Surf Sessions from the Water

Late spring has been that perfect time of year.  The water is warm enough for my 4/3mm wetsuit, the sun is often shining, and there's still the occasional swell rolling up the shore line.  I've had my Liquideye Water Housingfor about a year now, but one thing lead to another last summer, and before I knew it the weather had turned far too cold for my available gear. But now I've had the...
