Winter Wonderland Aerials

Winter is a time of dormancy, rest, and recuperation before the coming seasons of warmth and growth.  While it can be hard to go outside in cold weather, I still need to get out there, get shooting, and just continue to create! Hazard Rock from the Air

I've been photographing at Hazard Rock in Narragansett for several years now.  It's a great little spot just off the main road, that makes you feel like you're – almost – in the middle of nowhere.  It can be particularly treacherous during storm swell and high surf.  People have died off these rocks, so the bluffs are not to be taken lightly.  I went down during a low tide with some wave action to...

I'm supposed to stay 5 miles from an airport or 2 miles from a heliport within 400ft altitude. Any closer and I need to call the airport to clear a flight. This means I have to go south of the Jamestown Bridge for shooting, and while one afternoon...

Beavertail from the Sky

Ah.. Beavertail, one of those spots that's always beautiful, always full of wonder!  You can find some peace and quiet here during the off season, but in the summer months it is often flooded with cars watching the sunset to the west. This night in particular I was out for an evening stroll to photograph the sunset and moonrise. It proved rather difficult to get the most flattering angle of the...
