The Wickford Regatta has been hosted annually by Wickford Yacht Club in the spirit of early-season one-design fun! This year's classes included Lasers, Club 420, International 420, F18 catamarans, 505s, J/22s, and new this year were 29ers. This year I was asked to photograph the start for the Ida Lewis Distance Race, and I happily accepted the offer to contribute to this terrific annual regatta! Day Two of NBYA Junior Race Week. NBYA Junior Race Week always caps off the summer sailing season for Narragansett Bay. Historically this three day sailing event has unpredictable winds, this year saw some terrific steady breezes that turned into strong gusty conditions for the juniors.
