Stormy Green Hill

Another trip to Green Hill. I really like this spot along the RI coast, especially when it is void of it's summer inhabitants. The surf was up but so was the wind and the clouds! It was a chilly winter storm and I didn't know what I would get with regard to seascapes. I went with zero preconceived ideas or expectations, just hoping the scenery would guide my creativity. South County Surf & Seascapes

So there was this day in December just before Christmas when it was blowing about 40 knots and the clouds were trying to decide whether they wanted to snow or not. And I went out shooting! I remember going to Beavertail with the family when I was little to watch the storms blow in. Last year I captured...

Old Narragansett Pier

I've done shoots in Narragansett for surfing, at twilight and dusk to capture the Towers, but I had never gone for a sunrise seascape shoot until recently. These were two separate visits to Narragansett Beach during low tide. The first was at dusk as the clouds rolled in and the sky turned pale pink. With extra sand removed from the beach after the hurricane, the old pillons and remnants of Old...
