Happy New Year!
The year is drawing to a close. As we all hunker down in sub-freezing temperatures, it's that time of year to reflect on everything from the previous 12 months. The goals we've achieved, the milestones or accomplishments, as well as the difficulties we've endured.
For me, 2017 brought new clarity to my sense of purpose as a photographer. A look back at my Instagram Best Nine reflects what you all and myself have been enjoying so much: those beachy aerials! My aerial work has grown, bringing (quite literally) new perspective to my fine art work. Metal prints have also opened up a whole new world of possibilities for fine art presentations. The year kicked off with a wonderful invitation to join other female photographers at Providence Center for Photographic Arts' Women in Photography Exhibition, followed by a great art festival season.
Lifestyle collaborations have started to take flight as well with various Rhode Island yogis and Imsy Swimwear. A big thanks to my many talented yogis and models who braved the elements for me, including Julia, Jessie, Shannon, Evelyn, and Amy! The arrival of the truly epic J Class World Championship in Newport reinvigorated my love for regatta photography.
A trip to Acadia in August was quickly followed by a trip to Nantucket in September, with the only goal being to explore and photograph.
As the past few months as things have been winding down I've had time to focus on new client work with Hinckley, and gear up to do it all over again in 2018.
I'm so very thankful for the ever-growing relationships with my photographic family of representatives, including Aurora, Cavan Images, Corporate Art Group, as well as my newest partners at Production Paradise and the Providence Center for Photographic Arts. And to all of my followers, thank you! I would not be able to do what I do without your continued support.
2018 promises more of the same, with even more lifestyle collaborations, and travel adventures still TBD. We welcome the new year with hope, a determination to grow, and eager expectation of the next great adventures to come!
