As a continuation of my attempts at a new kind of water panning, I made visits to the Narragansett Beach and Quonnie's East Beach recently to try and practice the art of incorporating motion into still seascapes. Both evening presented with pale pastels at dusk, giving my frame some pinks and purples to hold on to. I think I've got the hang of it, and I started to even incorporate more beach into the frame. Now I just have to find more variety and try this technique during stormy gray days, brilliant sunny days, with super long "strokes" with the camera, shorter exposures with people within the frame... The possibilities are endless! But for now, as my collection of water panning shots grows, I will start to compile them in a new Water Panning category within my photography catalog. Enjoy!
