Seawall Surf for 2013

Yay, surf! It was the first big surf of 2013 and I'm sure the surfers were happier about it than I was. The 1,000 mile long storm at the end of January stretched from Florida to New England. As warm spring collided with cold winter, tornadoes arrived in Georgia and swell came to RI. It was 6-8' from the southwest with a strong west southwest breeze. Sandy Aftermath: High Surf at Monahan's

I tried to go out during Hurricane Sandy to shoot, but one thing after another and no power meant I had to stay at home. I did, however, make it out the day after Sandy had left to see some of the destruction. Swell, Finally!

Rhode Island has been in a bit of a drought, which is sad for spring, especially when there's supposed to be April showers and May flowers. But we finally got some rain! Ringing in the New Year with Surf
