Summer summer summer! In celebration of summer I rose bright and early to get to the beach for a 5am photoshoot with model Elise. We wanted some golden hour beachy surf lifestyle shots, and we had the whole place to ourselves to play! What started on land quickly moved into the water as we both climbed into wetsuits to enjoy the early morning light.
The only thing we were missing were proper waves, but the light made it so worth it! I wasn't regretting waking up before dawn at all, and if I didn't encounter technical issues with the water housing, we probably would've stayed and shot for longer. The button the switch back and forth from Live View was stuck down, and my camera was caught in between shooting modes. It was an easy remedy once I was out of the water and could open up the housing, but as any photographer will tell you, technical issues are bound to happen occasionally.
I was so happy with this shoot, I can't wait to do even more early morning sessions in the warm weather!
