More Surf // Morning in Matunuck

Good swell doesn't come terribly often to Rhode Island during summer months, unless you like longboarding days in 2 footers.  But a couple Fridays ago we were surprised with a day or so of chest to head high sets rolling up the coast. The forecast was only for 3-4 ft, but after swimming out at Matunuck bright and early I checked the buoy report and it was still 6 ft at 9 seconds! Definitely bigger...

Matunuck in the Cold

This winter has been a winter of record for New England. Boston and the Cape have been hammered by feet upon feet of snow. Down here in Rhode Island we're battling cold weather and wind every other day.
