So at the beginning of September I was invited to shoot the Bullseye National Regatta hosted out of Saunderstown Yacht Club here on Narragansett Bay. Bullseyes are the fiberglass equivalent of the Herreshoff 12 1/2, wonderful little daysailers with a competitive edge. After some rainy weather, the sky cleared up for a wonderfully warm and sunny weekend of sailing! It was most likely the last...
During an unexpected trip to Newport the other weekend I could see a multitude of neon sails coming across the channel. Byte CII Worlds were being hosted out of Sail Newport and were making their way to Potter's Cove for day 2 of racing! I was there just in time to catch the first few races of the day.Named the Youth Olympic Games Boy's & Girl's singlehander boat, this new Zim Sailingdesign...

While day 1 was only half a day of racing this year, and day 2 there was no racing at all due to no wind, heavy fog, and thunderstorm threats, there was beautiful wind and sun for day...
Summer sailing has drawn to a close and the first days of school are upon us. It wasn't too long ago I was making my last visits to the WSA Junior Sailing Program to take a few more shots of the kids. First up, the racers! Wickford made a brilliant showing at NBYA with an overall win for a Division in 420s at Race Week and a second place for the overall NBYA season. Great job you guys! Now go...
