NBYA Junior Race Week 2017

Last week was the Narragansett Bay Yacht Association's Junior Race Week, an annual regatta hosted for all the junior sailors on Narragansett Bay. Opti New Englands 2016

Race Week - Day Two

Day Two of NBYA Junior Race Week.  I joined the 420 circle this time, and while the clouds and rain were gone, the breeze remained and even stronger than the day before.There was a stiff westerly breeze of about 15-20 knots in the morning, holding into the afternoon. Race Week - Day One

NBYA Junior Race Week always caps off the summer sailing season for Narragansett Bay.  Historically this three day sailing event has unpredictable winds, this year saw some terrific steady breezes that turned into strong gusty conditions for the juniors.  They launched from the south facing Compass Rose Beach in North Kingstown this year for some sun and wind before the start of the school season....
