Aerials across Jamestown

Between the fog and rains, the hot weather of summer is here.  I have a long to-do list of spots to drone, but in the dull gray days of winter I decided to wait until the grass and trees were green to hit a few spots.  And while I still have a long list of things I want to accomplish this season, I was able to tick off a few things on an aerial tour of Jamestown just the other week. I started over...

Aerials of Brenton Point

Two sunrise shoots in just a few weeks, I'm on a roll!  On a sunny warm morning, I still slept through my first alarm, but as the sky began to lighten I got myself out of bed, grabbed my drone and headed out the door to explore the rocky coast in Newport.Different tides can expose different rock formations, and this particular morning with low tide and a bit of wave action, I launched off Ocean...

We arrived with plenty of time before sunset, and after a quick judgement call regarding...

Aerial Explorations // Jamestown Coast at Sunset

It's been hard to go droning this month.  With all the snow and nor'easters, plus regular windy days and cold temperatures, windows for aerial drone flights have been slim.  But just the other day the skies were clear, and the winds were low enough for me to take a sunset drone flight in Beavertail with my 3DR Solo and GoPro Hero 4 Black.I have photographed Beavertail Light before but I wanted to...
