Hikes in Acadia // Day 2

After experiencing some of the iconic locations for Acadia on Friday, we decided to do a longer hike on Saturday. We chose another iron rung trail since we loved Beehive so much, and combined a couple of ridge hikes to make for a 4 mile total. A lot of the trails in Acadia can be done as short day hikes, but the quantity of trails allows for combined hikes and loops if you want something longer....

Rhode Trip // NoCal // Day 3

We woke up to sprinkles of rain and sunshowers.  That forecast from the beginning of the week was catching up to us.  What had originally looked like a day or so of rain we could hike through was taking a turn for the worse. We woke bright and early at the campsite in Wright's Beach to the sounds of ocean waves and children playing. Our tent was nestled in a small patch of pine needles and leaves beneath tall bushes, and just around our cluster of bushes was a wide open beach and crashing waves.
